Landlock helps you block distracting apps automatically when you walk into places you choose. This page covers common questions and how to get help.

Getting started

Allow Screen Time access so Landlock can lock the apps you choose.
Allow Always location so zones can turn on and off in the background.
Create a zone on the map, then pick the apps, categories, or websites to block.
Walk into that place. Landlock locks those apps until you leave.

Common questions

Why do I need Always location?

Zones need to activate when you arrive, even if Landlock is not open. “While Using” location is not enough for reliable background geofencing. Your location stays on your device and is used only to detect your zones.

Apps are not locking when I enter a zone

Confirm Screen Time / Family Controls permission is still on in iOS Settings.
Confirm Location is set to Always for Landlock.
Make sure the zone is enabled and has apps or websites selected to block.
Check that you are inside the zone radius and that a break schedule is not currently pausing blocking.
Try walking a short distance out and back in, or restarting your iPhone.

How do break schedules work?

Break schedules let you pause blocking inside a zone for times you choose, like lunch, without turning the whole zone off.

Can overlapping zones work together?

Yes. If you are inside more than one enabled zone, Landlock combines the active block lists.

How do I manage or cancel a subscription?

Landlock Plus purchases are handled by Apple. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions, or on apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Does Landlock collect my location?

Location is used on your device to detect zones. Landlock does not upload your location history to a Landlock server. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I delete my data?

Delete zones in the app, or delete Landlock from your iPhone to remove locally stored Landlock data.
